Pioneering entrepreneurship in Ortisei/St. Ulrich
In 1963, Hotel La Perla was officially opened by Elsa and Josef Kelder. At the time it was the first and only hotel in Ortisei/St. Ulrich which could offer rooms with en-suite bathrooms. All other hotels used to have only one bathroom per floor.
In 1970, the indoor pool was constructed. Yet again, Hotel La Perla was the first hotel in the area to have one.
In 2000, the management of the hotel was taken over by the family's son Günther and his wife Brigitte.
In 2001, the hotel was renovated and enlarged for the first time. A completely new part was built which features two-room suites, a new pool, sauna facilities and an underground car park.
Since then, the hotel owners have not stopped investing and constantly add new touches to the hotel. Today, the hotel has Superior suites and Junior suites. In 2011, the wellness facilities were further expanded.
