Ski mountaineering in the Dolomites is something very special. The choice of routes is varied, but most offer a combination of unique views, relatively short ascents (sometimes with a little help from a lift), and downhill runs through demanding terrain, with narrow gullies and steep gaps. We recommend the services of a local mountain and ski guide.
Any Example:
Ski tour from
Forcella del Pordoi - Val Mezdi - Val Lasties: a famous downhiil route - and rightly so - but not always easy. The route starts at the top of the Pordoi cabieway.
High-alpine downhill
run from Forcella del Sassolungo (2,686 m) through the Langkofelkar to Monte Pana. Ski tour to Forcella Mezdi (2,597 m): ascent from Col Raiser in 2 hours. Ski down to S. Cristina or Longiaru.
Warning:
For skiers without mountain guide. There are no ski patrols operating off the prepared ski trails. Skiers who leave the groomed and signposted trails do so at their own risk. Visitors are recommended to obtain accurate information on conditions for the tour, including weather report, snow conditions and the avalanche report, before setting out. |
