The presentation “Benunì te Gherdëina – Welcome to Val Gardena” provides detailed insight of various aspects of the history, culture and traditions of Val Gardena. When did people begin to settle in the valley? What was the way of life on a mountain farm? How were daily chores organized in rural households? How did the local people dress? What did they eat? How and why did the wood carving industry develop in such a unique way in Val Gardena? And why is Ladin still spoken here? The presentation will provide clear and comprehensive answers to these and other questions.

The event takes place on 07.09 and 14.09.2015 in the Community hall of S.Cristina.
