Sella Ronda Bike Day - free roads for cyclists

All four Dolomite passes around the Sella massif (Passo Gardena, Passo Campolongo, Passo Pordoi and passo Sella) are closed from 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. to motor vehicles on this day, leaving the roads entirely free to cyclists.
A unique chance to enjoy the freedom of these Alpine roads on your bicycle. Participation is open to everybody and completely free of charge. Start is at the Nives Square in Selva Val Gardena.

SELLARONDA BIKE DAY – 12 September 2026
We are delighted to inform you that on Saturday 12 September 2026, from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm, the Sellaronda Bike Day will take place – a day dedicated entirely to cycling around the Sella massif.
The event is free of charge and no registration is required. We recommend cycling the route anti-clockwise. We cordially invite you and your guests to take part in this wonderful cycling event.
Road closures
During the event, motorised vehicles will be prohibited from travelling:
• from Piazza Nives in Selva di Val Gardena to the Sella Pass and the Gardena Pass
from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm.
The road between Piazza Nives and Plan will reopen at 10.00 am.
• public transport to the passes will also be suspended during this period
Free shuttle service
To assist those needing to travel to S. Cristina, Ortisei, Ponte Gardena, Bolzano or Bressanone, a free shuttle service (taxi) will operate from 8.30 am to 10.30 am, departing every 20 minutes from Piazza Nives (Selva di Val Gardena) to the Dosses/Maciaconi stop, and back.
