Starting from the Sella Pass, the 'Naturonda' trail leads directly to the impressive 'Città dei Sassi' at the foot of the north walls of the Sassolungo. The return route follows the well-marked trail no. 526 for a comfortable walk back.

The idyllic Val Gardena railway trail runs through the entire valley, passing meadows, forests, villages and attractions on its sunny side. Starting points include Ortisei, Santa Cristina, Selva and Roncadizza. The path follows the historic route of the Val Gardena railway, which was built between 1915 and 1916 and operated until 1960. Informative panels along the way provide fascinating insights into the history of this former railway line, turning a simple walk into a memorable cultural experience.
Legend trail St. Jacob – a legendary hike in St. Christina
This enchanting themed walk starts behind the parish church of S. Cristina and leads through woodland, passing 16 illustrated panels designed by local schoolchildren that bring the legend of Count Jakob to life. The walk ends at the charming Church of St. Jakob, one of the oldest churches in Val Gardena, dating back to the 12th century. For the return journey, you can either retrace your steps or choose a particularly scenic alternative route via the high-level path and the Way of the Cross, leading back to S. Cristina with beautiful panoramic views.
Cristal d'Or excursion pin – hike, collect and remember
The Cristal d'Or makes hiking in Val Gardena a special experience: those who collect stamps at participating mountain huts on their tours can receive a hiking pin in bronze, silver, gold or rock crystal, depending on how many points they have collected. This is presented together with a certificate, creating a lasting souvenir of your mountain adventures. Official hiking booklets are available from local tourist offices. Alternatively, the hiking pin can also be collected digitally.
