from ortisei to baita curona

1. i see in the web that the round trail is 11.5 km. the way down only is 10.5 km. how is it possible.
2. is there a cable station to go down back? do we have to go down by the 10.5 ski trail?

Here are 3 possible variants to reach the Curona hut from Ortisei:

1.) You can take the 2 cable cars "Ortisei-Furnes" and "Furnes-Seceda". Once you reach the top, walk down 1.9 km to the hut (about a 30 minutes walk). The hut is situated on the "La Longia" piste in winter. This is an easy way to reach the destination.

2.) The starting point for the hike is the valley station of the Seceda cable car. Opposite the valley station, follow trail no. 9 to Val d'Anna and continue along trail no. 2 to the Costamula hut, a traditional 16th century building cult. From here, follow trail no. 2 to 'Oberwinkel' and then to Mareufer. The last ascent is along trail no. 6, which runs between the Curona hut and the Sofie hut through natural and colourful flower meadows to Seceda.

3.) The starting point for the hike is the church of Ortisei. From here, take the direction to S. Giacomo where you will find signs leading to Seceda.

The distance on Google Maps is actually 5.7 km.
