DOLOMITESVIVES The Passo Sella will be closed to traffic every Wednesday from 9 am to 4 pm during the summer:
An important contribution to the preservation of the sensitive natural environment on the mountain will be made in the name of the Unesco World Heritage every Wednesday this summer: the road to the Passo Sella will be closed to traffic. The project has been given the name #Dolomitesvives.

From the 5th of July to the 30th of August 2017, the road to the Passo Sella will be closed for all motorized vehicles every Wednesday from 9 am to 4 pm.
On the Val Gardena side, the road will be closed from the Miramonti junction (SS242/SS243) above Plan de Gralba, and on the Val di Fassa side, the road will be closed from the Passo Pordoi/Passo Sella junction (SS242/SS48).
On these "#Dolomitesvives Wednesdays" guided hikes around the Passo Sella will be offered. Events celebrating the cuisine, music and history of the Ladin Dolomites, will allow visitors to experience the magic of this mountain region with all their senses. A "Taste Tour" that involves visits to six huts where delicacies conjured up by star chefs using the best regional ingredients can be tasted, as well as the chance to meet personalities from the Dolomites and enjoy concerts by local musicians.
The famous mountaineer, Reinhold Messner, will open the event on the 5th of July.
